E. & E. | Hoh Rainforest and Ruby Beach Elopement at Olympic National Park, PNW

This was my first last-minute elopement planning experience and one I'll never forget. Sometimes you just know destiny is leading you and everything will work out.

It's that kind of story! A story about how my husband (my best assistant and officiant for the elopement ceremony) and I become part of a destiny plan. And we loved it.

E. & E. found me four days before they reached Washington. Originally, their elopement with another photographer was set for a different day, but circumstances changed.

Three days to plan an adventure elopement in Washington state in summer, a busy time of the year for elopements. It's a tricky job. But we got it done.

The couple were at the airport waiting for their flight to Seattle when we video called. They had their wedding attire, rings, and a marriage license. As soon as we discussed their preferences, we got to work planning the unique experience.

First, I helped them pick a location for the elopement. The short notice made it hard to get a permit, so I suggested a place where they wouldn't need one – Olympic National Park (for the group less than five people icluding vendors). They agreed as soon as I told them about the rainforests and beaches. They don't regret it.

Second, tthey rented a camper since all the Airbnbs were full. I also recommended them a good florist and vow book designer.

Over the next two days, I got all their orders, including flowers and vow books.

Elopement started near Hoh Rainforest, one of Olympic National Park's most scenic spots. Our goal was to find the best place for exchanging vows. We found it at the trailhead of the Hall of Moses.

Thanks to my dear hubby for helping with the ceremony. Remember when I told you about the plan of destiny? On the trail, we met a couple who knew my clients. They met the night before, walking on a local trail. That’s how we meet witnesses.

Next, we went to Ruby Beach. After sunset portraits, the couple took a break. After that, we took some lantern sunset photos.

Afterwards, we roasted marshmallows on a beach where campfires are allowed.

Thanks to E & E for choosing us to capture your special day. It was a wonderful day full of love and joy.

HERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ELOPEMENTS

I’M VALERIE, YOUR ADVENTURE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

My style is called “candid photography.” The idea is to preserve moments as they were, not as we wish they looked.

Before we speak, I ask you to fill out the contact form. It helps me better understand what you want to get from your elopement. Knowing precisely what you want, I can offer you the best locations, activities, and vendors. Don’t worry if you don’t have a concept for your event. Together we’ll find the best solution. What I really won’t do is force you to accept something that I suggested. This is your day, and I just help you to turn your thoughts, ideas, and dreams into reality.

Friendship is not something you can buy, but here you will get a real friend. Yes, I’ll be pretty much invisible during the elopement, but as with any intimate event, the elopement goes better when you are surrounded by people you trust. I’ll try to become that kind of person for your couple. I’ll help you to spend this day in a relaxed atmosphere. One of the most popular reasons why people choose to elope is the desire to spend the wedding day without haste and fuss. Your elopement will be adventurous but stress-free!  I'll be your rock, your shoulder to lean on.

Finally, when we discuss all the details, and you choose everything from location and date to clothes and champagne, I’ll get my camera. At that moment, my purpose will be to capture your real feelings and emotions. I’m not going to tell you what to do and how to pose. Our common goal is to save these brilliant moments of your love story, not to do posed photography.
