H. & D. | Beach Wedding on the Shores of Puerto Vallarta

H & D had eagerly awaited their wedding for years. However, life kept throwing hurdles their way, delaying their celebration. When H broke her leg, the wedding had to be postponed. The couple, avid dancers, focused on H's recovery and numerous surgeries, as her foot injury jeopardized their dancing careers.

After things settled down, they planned a celebration in Thailand. They had booked a stunning hotel by the emerald sea and even secured tickets, but the pandemic wreaked havoc on their plans. Initially hopeful that restrictions would ease, they eventually opted for an intimate elopement instead.

It was a privilege for me to be their photographer for the elopement. Against the backdrop of a waterfall and the autumn forest, we captured many beautiful moments. You can read about that special day in the linked text.

Two years later, with restrictions lifted, H & D decided to revisit their dream of a wedding and celebrate with loved ones. They chose a picturesque oceanfront hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was an absolute pleasure for me to once again be part of their celebration as their photographer.

The first day was reserved just for them. They savored moments at the hotel, wrote heartfelt vows, and indulged in a shared bath. Later, we headed to the beach for sunset bridal portraits. With a second dress in tow, the bride had a blast during a 'trash the dress' session, even taking a dip in the ocean in her wedding attire.

The following day was filled with joyous festivities with family and friends. There were preparations, a first look (complete with a playful twist involving a friend dressed as a dinosaur), and a cocktail hour where they showcased their dance moves inspired by "Dirty Dancing." The sunset ceremony by the ocean was simply breathtaking. Vows were exchanged, followed by a rose and sand ceremony, and then a lively reception filled with dancing, cake cutting, fireworks, and a grand exit illuminated by sparklers. It truly was a heartwarming and magnificent celebration.

H & D, thank you for entrusting me to capture these priceless moments. Being chosen as your photographer for such a special occasion was a true honor.

HERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ELOPEMENTS

I’M VALERIE, YOUR ADVENTURE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

My style is called “candid photography.” The idea is to preserve moments as they were, not as we wish they looked.

Before we speak, I ask you to fill out the contact form. It helps me better understand what you want to get from your elopement. Knowing precisely what you want, I can offer you the best locations, activities, and vendors. Don’t worry if you don’t have a concept for your event. Together we’ll find the best solution. What I really won’t do is force you to accept something that I suggested. This is your day, and I just help you to turn your thoughts, ideas, and dreams into reality.

Friendship is not something you can buy, but here you will get a real friend. Yes, I’ll be pretty much invisible during the elopement, but as with any intimate event, the elopement goes better when you are surrounded by people you trust. I’ll try to become that kind of person for your couple. I’ll help you to spend this day in a relaxed atmosphere. One of the most popular reasons why people choose to elope is the desire to spend the wedding day without haste and fuss. Your elopement will be adventurous but stress-free!  I'll be your rock, your shoulder to lean on.

Finally, when we discuss all the details, and you choose everything from location and date to clothes and champagne, I’ll get my camera. At that moment, my purpose will be to capture your real feelings and emotions. I’m not going to tell you what to do and how to pose. Our common goal is to save these brilliant moments of your love story, not to do posed photography.
