A. & B. | The Meeting of East and West. An Intimate Wedding in Kirkland, WA

When I was a travel blogger, I loved visiting places with ancient history. I walked through the streets of Rome and felt like I’m part of the entangled legends and myths of the ancient world. Visiting art galleries with old masterpieces I was observing how modern people are like their ancestors. This wedding reminded me of my travels.

I was shooting this wedding in Kirkland, Washington and the couple, A. &B., were from Tajikistan and Iran. I couldn't help but think of the rich history and mythology of the Ancient world when I looked at them. For me they both represented ancient Persia, Babylon, Assyria, and the tales of the Thousand and One Nights. They exuded the same warmth and vitality as the portraits by the masters of the past.

The wedding was intimate and only the closest family and friends were invited. I felt honored to be a part of this event and I could feel the love and happiness radiating from the couple the whole time.

Thank you for trusting me to capture such an important moment in your lives. It was a pleasure and a privilege to be there with you! I hope to see you again.
