D. & J. | Wenatchee and Leavenworth Elopement, Pacific Northwest
This wedding stands out in my memory as one of the most fun. We laughed through the entire five-hour session.
It was an intimate gathering: just the bride, groom, two of the groom’s brothers, and the bride’s brother and sister. Each guest played a part in both the preparation and the ceremony.
The day began in a two-story A-frame cabin in Leavenworth. The bride and groom got ready on separate floors, with their siblings helping them.
We did the first look right in the house, with a beautiful spiral staircase as the backdrop.
The ceremony took place on the bride’s porch, which she had decorated herself. During the ceremony, the couple exchanged vows and did a handfasting. The groom’s brother and the bride’s brother served as officiants, while the second brother and sister handled the handfasting.
The day ended with champagne, cake-cutting, and a sunset trip to Lake Wenatchee for group photos. The day wrapped up with the signing of the marriage certificate—right on the hood of the car!
The couple’s review:
Valerie,
Oh my goodness we are so thrilled to view these outstanding photos. Your work is impeccable. We shared the sneak peeks with family and friends recently and they had rave reviews about the photographs, and we owe it all to you. We're eager to share the rest of the gallery with loved ones. My eyes welled up with happy tears looking at the getting ready photos because I wasn't there to witness any of them, so it was such a beautiful surprise for me.
We are grateful to you and Pasha for the high energy, positivity, and comfort you offered to us. We would love to work with you again in the future. ❤️
With love,
D. & J.
Thank you D. and J. I had an amazing time with you both! I'm so glad that we met and had such a great time.
HERE IS EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ELOPEMENTS
I’M VALERIE, YOUR ADVENTURE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
My style is called “candid photography.” The idea is to preserve moments as they were, not as we wish they looked.
Before we speak, I ask you to fill out the contact form. It helps me better understand what you want to get from your elopement. Knowing precisely what you want, I can offer you the best locations, activities, and vendors. Don’t worry if you don’t have a concept for your event. Together we’ll find the best solution. What I really won’t do is force you to accept something that I suggested. This is your day, and I just help you to turn your thoughts, ideas, and dreams into reality.
Friendship is not something you can buy, but here you will get a real friend. Yes, I’ll be pretty much invisible during the elopement, but as with any intimate event, the elopement goes better when you are surrounded by people you trust. I’ll try to become that kind of person for your couple. I’ll help you to spend this day in a relaxed atmosphere. One of the most popular reasons why people choose to elope is the desire to spend the wedding day without haste and fuss. Your elopement will be adventurous but stress-free! I'll be your rock, your shoulder to lean on.
Finally, when we discuss all the details, and you choose everything from location and date to clothes and champagne, I’ll get my camera. At that moment, my purpose will be to capture your real feelings and emotions. I’m not going to tell you what to do and how to pose. Our common goal is to save these brilliant moments of your love story, not to do posed photography.
In this post, I’ll share what you need to know if you’re planning to elope in the woods. At the end, I’ll list the most magical spots in the PNW to book for your forest elopement.
